In Summer 2020, Shea’s Performing Arts Center and Theatre of Youth launch site here The Actor’s Edge 2.0, a one-week intensive for WNY teens to explore World Theatre through cross cultural storytelling.
Storytelling is at the core of culture: it’s how we share customs, traditions, and identity. Culture impacts not just what stories we tell, but how we choose to tell them. In craig reid che ny social dating The Actor’s Edge 2.0, students will explore global performance styles and how they’re used to tell stories around the world. Each day students will work with professional teaching artists to workshop a new style or technique, which they will then apply to the creation of their own piece to be shared at the end of the week. By broadening their knowledge and diversifying their skill set, this advanced study prepares young artists to be creative, engaged, and collaborative performers in the 21st century.

Acceptance into The Actor’s Edge 2.0 is by audition only*. Participants must be entering grades 9-12 as of August 10, 2020.
